  • Made of high-quality materials: aluminium, a neodymium magnet (N52) and real leather
What would you say if we told you that you can harness the powers of physics to slow down time and switch off gravity? And that you can make a ball float through a tube almost in slow motion? Sounds like magic, right? But don't worry, as always, there's a rational explanation...
But before we get into the inner workings of the Feel Flux Skill Set Pro in the Klaus Special Edition, we'd like to tell you what's actually so special about this special edition: For starters, it was developed together with the well-known trick artist Klaus van Stengen with the goal of improving the amazing Feel Flux even more. Added grooves on the side allow you to get a better grip and the modified edges are designed with Klaus's signature "stall games" in mind.
But let's get back to your initial question: How does the metal ball seem to defy gravity?
Well, the ball is made of neodymium, which means it's an extremely powerful magnet. Letting it fall into the tube will result in a changing magnetic field. According to Faraday's law of induction, this will create an electromotive force and will induce eddy currents, which will create another magnetic field. And finally, Lenz's Law comes into effect: it states that the magnetic field generated by currents is always directed in the opposite direction of what caused them – in this case, the falling neodymium ball. As a result, the ball will float down the aluminium cylinder veeery veeery slowly.
Even though the ultra-magnetic ball is great for exciting experiments, you should also be aware that such a strong magnet can cause harm to certain devices like hard drives, mobile phones and medical equipment. To be on the safe side, it should be kept at least 30 cm away from these kinds of things, as well as other magnetic objects.
