The comics by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster not only made Superman the best-known superhero of all time, they also founded a whole new comic genre. They created the Man of Steel in the 1930s and initially published the stories themselves before signing a contract with DC. They were both big science fiction fans and probably for this reason developed the hero of their story as an alien who is sent to Earth as a baby from another star. It is significant that after almost 85 years, Superman comics are still being published and read, there are countless film adaptations and really everyone recognizes the blue, red and yellow-clad saviour of mankind.

The DC Comics Superman Crystal Clear wall murals are very special pieces of jewelry for fans of Clark Kent. Selected images from the comics have been printed on wood and coated with synthetic resin, creating a special effect that makes the colors glow and shows the images in crystal clear sharpness.

Super Strength: This drawing adorns the cover of the 2015 issue of "Superman: The Man of Tomorrow". The artists Klaus Jansen and John Romita, Jr. have created an impressive image here using just a few colors, showing Superman lifting parts of buildings with his superhuman strength.

Laser vision: In the comic "Superman: Rebirth #1", Clark Kent has to prove himself as a father and raise his son together with Lois Lane. His laser vision certainly helps him to protect his child from all kinds of enemies and dangers. You can literally feel the heat of Superman's glowing eyes in the picture drawn by Doug Mahnke.

The Death of Superman: When comic book sales hit rock bottom in the 90s, the publishers decided to kill Superman. In this picture, which is also the cover of the issue, Superman's bright red cape is blowing in the wind. It's like a symbol of the fact that even when thought dead, he never really disappears.

The Last Son of Krypton: The purely black and white retro-style image is inspired by Elliot S. Maggin's 1978 novel of the same name, which tells the story of Earth being threatened by an alien ruler. The lettering on the picture hints at Clark Kent's actual origin: "The last hope for humanity rests in the hands of an alien."

With these motifs, you not only get impressive art, but also a piece of comic book history in your home. Fortunately, you don't need superhuman strength or laser vision to hang them up - screws, nails or even double-sided adhesive tape are all you need.
