Description Metal Earth insect 3D kits

  • Kits for highly detailed insect and arachnid models made of metal

Insects are rarely mentioned as favorite animals, even though they have the greatest biodiversity on earth. Not only that: many of these species are walking proof of nature's engineering skills! As we ordinary people rarely get the opportunity to see these delicate works of art up close, insect lovers and arachnid fans need an alternative: the Metal Earth insect 3D kits.
You can choose between the following variants, which are available individually or as a set:
  • The Praying Mantis is so named because the peculiar position of its front legs makes it look as if it is folding them in prayer. But that's where its godliness ends, as it is not only known for its predatory lifestyle, but also for eating the males of its species during or after mating...

  • The tarantula, which is sometimes kept as a pet, is quite well known. But did you also know that some tarantulas live together with small frogs, that there are deep blue tarantulas, and that the largest spider (measured by body mass, not leg length) is a tarantula?

  • The scorpion is known for its venomous sting, which it holds menacingly erect. Not all scorpions are deadly, but you should still avoid them - except for this harmless metal scorpion, of course ;)

  • The dragonfly has been around for more than 300 million years. While the origin of the German name is disputed, its English name "Dragonfly" is miles ahead of us in terms of coolness. And the "dragonfly" is a real flying artist: its 4 flexible wings enable it to perform a complex movement pattern in the air.

  • The stag beetle is so named because its oversized jaws look like stag antlers. And it also fights like a stag: male stag beetles compete against each other for a female, and the winner uses its powerful jaws to knock the loser to the ground with ice-cold force.

  • The bundle includes all five variants and thus remains true to the diversity of insects and arachnids ;)

All Metal Earth kits consist of laser-cut metal parts that simply need to be pressed out and can be assembled without glue or solder. As these are delicate kits, the product is aimed at patient model builders over the age of 14. Experience has shown that tweezers or flat-nose pliers also make assembly much easier. :)
