A spring motor drives the engine. You wind it up with the key and start it by turning the chimney, and then the gears, wheels and coupling rods get going. On its own the locomotive covers about six metres, pulling both cars around four. Harry, Hermione and Ron sit in the passenger carriage with its three doors and removable roof, bobbing along as it runs. A piece of track and a buffer stop from Platform 9¾ turn the parked model into a display scene.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor model builders, railway fans and everyone whose Hogwarts letter never arrived.
